Shakespeare's Education and Childhood
Although not much is known about Shakespeare's childhood and early education there is some that can be assumed. Shakespeare's father John Shakespeare was elected position as Aldermen. So William Shakespeare got free schooling. Back in that day you had to pay for school. It is known that Shakespeare did attend King Edward IV Grammar School, from the ages seven to fourteen.
Shakespeare did know the language of Latin. There was a study done that shows that Shakespeare must have been tortured and also the fact his parents where very wealthy. His parents wanted him to have the best education possible at that time, offered in Stratford.
Parents are John and Mary Shakespeare. Mary had eight children. Two of witch died as babies and another died at the age of five. Not much is known about his brothers and sisters.
